Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic family. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez is of Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is Malaysian. She has two younger brothers as well as an older sister. In the 80s, her parents emigrated to Bahrain because of civil war over Sri Lanka. This is why she was born and raised in the country. In Australia, she studied Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. She was also a student at the Berlitz school of languages that helped her learn French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was title in the month of March, 2006; she was also a part of Miss Universe 2006 After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television and anchored a show that was a business show in Sri Lanka known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens, she participated in national badminton competitions, but quit the sport to become a fashion designer. Padukone is from Mangalorean background and her native language is Konkani. Padukone is a village located within the Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State of India, is where her family originates. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an international champion in badminton who has retired. The mother of the child is a traveling agent.
